Carolina Caycedo (b. 1978, London, UK, to Colombian parents; lives and works in Los Angeles) received an MFA from the University of Southern California in 2014 and a BFA from Los Andes University in Bogotá (1999). Caycedo has developed publicly engaged projects in Bogotá, Quezon City, Toronto, Madrid, São Paulo, Lisbon, San Juan, New York, San Francisco, Paris, México DF, Tijuana, and London. Her work has been exhibited worldwide, with solo shows at Muzeum Sztuki, Lodz, Poland (2019); UNECE, Astana, Kazakhstan (2018); NUMU, Guatemala (2017); Clockshop, Los Angeles (2015); Instituto de Visión, Bogotá, Colombia (2014); DAAD Gallery, Berlin, Germany (2013); and Galerie du Jour - agnès b., Paris, France (2013). She has participated in group exhibitions at Hammer Museum, Los Angeles (2018); Whitney Museum of American Art, New York (2018); Seoul Museum of Art, Seoul, Korea (2017); Los Angeles County Museum of Art (2017); Les Recontres, Arles, France (2017); Human Resources, Los Angeles (2016); and KW Institute for Contemporary Art, Berlin, Germany (2014).
