Elle Pérez (b. 1989, Bronx; lives and works in New York) received an MFA from Yale University (2015) and a BFA from Maryland Institute College of Art (2011). Pérez is a recipient of Civitella Ranieri Fellowship (2025); Macdowell Colony Fellowship (2025); Latinx Arts Fellowship, Mellon Foundation (2024); Abigail Cohen Rome Prize (2023), Vermont Studio Center Civil Society Institute Fellowship (2015), Theo Westenberger Foundation Photography Prize (2014), and Bronx Recognizes Its Own Grant (2012).
