Olga Koumoundouros (b. 1965, Queens; lives and works in Los Angeles) received an MFA from California Institute of the Arts (2001), an MA from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston (1997), and a BA from the University of Vermont (1990). Solo exhibitions have been held at Los Angeles Nomadic Division (2017); Commonwealth and Council, Los Angeles (2016); Clockshop, Los Angeles (2014); Vielmetter Los Angeles (2013); Hammer Museum, Los Angeles (2013); Project Row Houses, Houston (2010); and L.A. Louver (2010). Selected group exhibitions have been held at Angels Gate Cultural Center, San Pedro (2019); Los Angeles Municipal Art Gallery (2019, 2016); Orange County Museum of Art (2017); Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (2016); Palm Springs Art Museum (2015); High Desert Test Sites, Wonder Valley (2014); and Museum of Contemporary Art Detroit (2013). Koumoundouros is a recipient of City of Los Angeles Individual Artist Fellowship (2019), Center for Cultural Innovation’s Investing in Artists Grant (2014, 2012), California Community Foundation Fellowship for Visual Artists (2012), and Foundation for Contemporary Art Emergency Grant (2011).


Koumoundouros' work is in the collections of Hammer Museum, Los Angeles; Los Angeles County Museum of Art; Orange County Museum of Art, Santa Ana; and Whitney Museum of American Art, New York.
